Freebies When You Pre-Order Grindhouse + Vornheim

Vornheim: The Complete City Kit has charts on the covers (and one on an inside cover). You roll dice on the cover and read where they drop. It's cool.

If you pre-order Grindhouse + Vornheim, you'll get those three charts on a double-sided A3 sheet. Two of the charts will be twice the size as on the physical Vornheim book, and one chart will be four times as large.

But wait! There's More!

The first 100 people to pre-order Grindhouse + Vornheim get an extra copy of the Rules and Magic book at no extra cost.

That's a 168 page perfect-bound book that includes an 8-page full color glossy section. No, it won't fit in the box with all the other stuff, but now you're just being picky. :P

  6. Tempted? No. I was going to buy Vornheim anyway, but the new edition of the rpg hasn't grabbed my interest yet, sorry.

(I'm not trying to be a troll; I thought some honest feedback might be useful.)

  8. Will the Flail-ceratops t-shirt be available then as well?

  10. This might be the first Old School RPG that I buy as part of my first experience with OSR gaming. You have me very, very much on the seat of my pants here with this. I'm highly interested.

  11. I'm just afraid of a repeat of what happened with the Swords & Wizardry Complete Hardcover. The server couldn't handle the workload and kept crashing. By the time I could log on, the HC was sold out, so I had to settle for the softcover. Will all of the pre-orders get the charts? I'd LIKE the extra books, but I *really* want the charts.

  12. Helsinki is +2 hours GMT, or +9 hours from Los Angeles. So 8AM on April 1st in Helsinki will be 11PM on March 31st in LA. Or, if James is feeling kind, he can update the store at midnight and let all of us non-Europeans have a nice crack at the first hundred...

Am I trying to game the system? HELL YES!!!

  13. Hope I'm one of the first 100.....

  14. I'm completely sold on Vornheim. Haven't been interested in the Grindhouse edition, but this might tempt me to do the combo platter.

I'm scared of that too... PDFs will be available immediately upon purchase, and these won't be tiny downloads. My web guy is aware of the pre-order date and possible issues. He'll be monitoring.

I will also ask that people wait until the next day before downloading their PDFs, but that is in no way enforceable and probably a bit unfair of me to even ask, but there it is.

    >>Will all of the pre-orders get the charts? I'd LIKE the extra books, but I *really* want the charts.

Yes, all Grindhouse + Vornheim pre-orders will get the charts. Unlike the books, I can get these done at very short notice.

  16. James, maybe you've posted this elsewhere already, but what will the price tag on this be?

  17. Assuming no last minute new pricing by the printers:

    Grindhouse 32,50€
    Vornheim 12,50€

Add VAT if you're in the Eurozone, shipping if you're not.

  18. I'm almost afraid to ask, but what's shipping going to look like for us folks in sunny California?

    ReplyDelete
  19. 13,10€ for 2nd class shipping (up to 28 days to arrive, but usually takes 2 weeks), 23,80€ for first class shipping (as little as three days).

That's the same for the combo or just the box.

    2,60€/5,20€ for just the book.

(these prices are subject to change after the books get here and I find out how much they weigh, but the estimate, but they will be honored for all pre-orders)

  20. Will you accept US dollars? :P

  21. Paypal automatically handles the dollars to euros exchange.

(the exchange rate is rather poor at the moment, but that's obviously out of my hands...)

  22. yeah, looks like about $82 for both, shipped. I'll probably be buying it anyways!
