  3. For d11, roll 2d6-1, for d16 roll 2d8-1. Of course you will get a higher probability of the middle numbers occurring.

    For a more even probability spread take a standard deck of cards...

    For d11, take a black suit, ace through jack, then shuffle them and choose one at random. Drawing a Jack would indicate an eleven.

    For d16, take a black suit, ace through ten and then any red suit ace through six. Shuffle them and draw a random card. Red cards add 10 to the number for eleven through sixteen.
