The Bundle of Lamentations: The Perfect Introduction to LotFP

As I write this, there's a little more than six days left in the Bundle of Lamentations offer.

Why should you care?

  1. It's over $100 worth of LotFP PDFs for under $25.
    1. If you've been curious about Lamentations of the Flame Princess, or on the fence about it, there won't be a better chance to sample such a large portion of LotFP at such a price. Right now there are 14 titles in the Bundle for that price, with the usual bonus titles still to come (that all previous purchases get to access so no worries about buying too early). Under $2/title.
    2. Even if you're an LotFP fan who has some of the titles, the discount will be such that it still might be worth it for you to jump in. We do just a couple PDF sales a year and nothing offering as big a savings as this.
  2. It's extremely creator friendly.
    1. For two of the sixteen titles in the Bundle, the writers and artists get a greater profit percentage than the publisher.
    2. For seven of the sixteen titles in the Bundle, the writers and/or artists are on a 50/50 profit share with the publisher.
    3. For four of the sixteen titles in the Bundle, the writer is the publisher.
    4. Three of the titles do not have continuing royalty agreements in place, but these were originally crowdfunded projects with odd economics, so the writers and artists were all paid an agreed-upon fixed amount up front.
  3. This is a diverse set of creators and creations. Eleven different writers out of six different nations writing to their own style on their own projects over which they have creative control. This is not a Corporate Unified Product Line. Baker, Blatt, Carryer, Chandler, Curtis, Green, Kowolski, Maliszewski, Novoa, Raggi, Zak. I'll put that lineup of writers up against any in the industry.
  4. An actual good cause is involved: ten percent of the total Bundle take (after payment portal fees) goes to The Myositis Association
  5. LotFP has plans for the money. If/when we hit $22,500 on the bundle, I will commit to hiring a name RPG writer to do a project I've always wanted to have myself (that I don't particularly want to write) in a format nobody's done in years. Anything above that, well, my wife wants to go somewhere on holiday and I owe that to her for turning our two-room apartment into a warehouse these past years.
  6. We can continue to shake up the industry a little bit. Complacency and the same-old same-old being popular year-on-year isn't good for a creative industry. The following chart (open the image in a new tab; Blogger's been wonky with images lately) is how LotFP ranks with this year's other Bundles of Holding as of this past midnight. Note that two of the three Bundles still in front of us are for 30-40 year old creations. We can beat that. And hopefully show that the OSR can beat out a *World bundle too.

So if you jump on board the Bundle, everybody benefits. If you've already got this stuff so you don't need the Bundle, well, tell people about it. Not just with a link. Tell people why you like Lamentations and why you think they might too.
