Carcosa Will Give Me a Heart Attack

Days away from the print date for Carcosa.

... the artist has been out of touch for almost a week, with four pieces of art still to turn in. He was one of the people who lost power during that big New England snowstorm last weekend. This week has been stressful, to say the least.

But he's now he's borrowed a generator and is uploading the needed files. Nothing like getting everything done at the last minute. :D

One of the pieces is the cover. Here is Carcosa's frontispiece, with the cover being a silhouette of this to call back to the cover of the first edition:

  1. That is a fine piece of art... and I like that it references the art on the original version... which, if I am not mistaken, references the logo of the 'Carcosa House' publishers... who is the artist?

  2. Rich Longmore. He did all the art on this project... almost 40 pages worth.

  4. Limpey, my original cover of CARCOSA was not inspired by the Carcosa House logo. It was inspired by another piece of art. A No-Prize to the first person who can tell me the inspiration. :)

    Huh. No idea then...

Still, Mr. Longmore's piece is sweet.

The original cover of Blackmoor, of course.

  10. Actually, I'd say the inspiration was the Martian city in the lake in Angry Red Planet. In fact, I clicked on the comments just say that's what immediately came to mind looking at it.
