I have never played Chainmail, I'm not at all interested in playing a wargame, and here I am trying to take the combat system (... well, there are three...) and port it over into D&D.
It give me a headache.
But it's an interesting thought exercise. And I love the play process of D&D but the combat system is a bit weary these days, and I want to see if there is a way to make it feel completely different while playing exactly the same, which keeping all existing materials fully compatible. ;)
I take it Chainmail isn't sitting well with you?
ReplyDeleteWell...
