ENNIE Nominations in One Week

Last year The Grinding Gear got nominated for Best Adventure and Death Frost Doom got an Honorable Mention for Cartography (... me neither) in the ENNIE competition.

In one week, this year's nominees are announced.

This year Hammers of the God, Tower of the Stargazer, Weird New World, Vornheim: The Complete City Kit, and LotFP Weird Fantasy Role-Playing: Grindhouse Edition are the eligible releases that have been submitted.

Want to win a copy of Carcosa when it's out? Give the most accurate LotFP ENNIE nomination predictions in the comments to this post. The categories are listed here.

(and if any smartass predicts "no nominations" and ends up winning, your winning Carcosa will arrive in unhygenic condition :P)

  1. Gonna go with Stargazer for "adventure" Grindhouse for "New Game" and Vornheim for "setting."

Be curious where they put Vornheim at all, really.

  2. I'd say that Grindhouse and Vornheim should at least get a nomination for 'Best Production Values'; and Vornheim should get at least a nomination for 'Best RPG Supplement'; and it'd be nice if 'Hammers' got one for 'Best Adventure'.

I'd also like to see GH get nominated for its art, maybe even win it :)

  3. I'm going with Vornheim for best supplement and production values.

  4. I'm guessing Vornheim for Best Supplement and Tower of the Stargazer for Best Adventure. Grindhouse for Best Interior Art!

  8. I think Hammers of the God will win for Adventure, Vornhiem will win for Supplement and Grindhouse Edition will come in with an Honourable Mention for Interior Art.

I'd like to see Grindhouse get New Game, but I think the online pissing and moaning about the art might be too much of a distraction and the focus will be there instead of on some of the tightest, most creative and best presented rules I've seen in any D20 "retro clone" product anywhere.

  10. Well, shit.

Honorable Mention for Vornheim in the Best Aid/Accessory category.

  11. Just looked at the 2011 Ennie Nominees. Shenanigans!

  12. By the way, I'm officially calling "No Winner" here. The ENNIEs has "Best Supplement" as a different category than "Aid/Accessory" and nobody mentioned the Aid/Accessory category in their prediction.
